Like 8600, 8600 Plus intended primarily for micro and small office or Home Office with print needs a relatively heavy duty. This is not surprising, then, that it's all similar offers the basics. Print, scan, and Fax; serves as the machine copy and fax machines; and it enables you to scan or print from a memory card or USB memory key. This will let you connect using Ethernet, WiFi, or USB, Apple's AirPrint printing over WiFi, and use the HP ePrint for printing even though the clouds. With ePrint printers, get her own email address, so you can print a document by sending it as an attachment to an email message.

One of the other two printer sharing feature is a touch-screen interface. But, the screen on the 8600 is smaller, at only 2.65 inches. As with the 8600 Plus, you can use it with any Web application, including HP Biztree forms App and financial times Headlines application (free, 3 stars) which I've checked. But the smaller screen size make the application and the printer menu system itself is a bit more difficult to use. One feature that is missing from the 8600 8600 Plus is direct emailing. 8600 will let you scan and email, but only via an email client on your computer.

Speed and Output quality

slower than the 8600 8600 Plus, but no less impressive considering lower prices. On our business applications suite (using QualityLogic's devices and hardware devices to time lunax), I clocked in 5.7 effective sheets per minute (ppm), so almost tied with 8600 Plus 5.9 ppm.

Printer in output quality, unfortunately, is a mixed bag. This text above par for inkjet Output, graphics is below par, and the photo is almost not yet qualify as up to par. easy text is better for most business needs. Also very much worth saying that it's waterproof, ColorLok paper at least. In my tests, it tercoreng just a little when I scrub with a wet tissue.

The graphic quality is excellent for internal business use. But most of the graphics in our testing showed a clear appeal in the default mode. I would hesitate to hand the output to the client or customer that I was trying to impress me with a sense of professionalism.

Photos are also easily good enough to almost every business needs, but photos on photo paper are at the low end of what you might expect from drugstore prints. The biggest problem I see is the shadow detail (details in dark areas), which does not show up very well.
