Samsung ML-1210 slightly better value compared with the Lexmark E210 on the quality of the output. The text is sharp enough to be easily readable even at 5 points for some fonts. Like the Lexmark printer, clear lines on graphics and solid black fill. Once again, light grey stripes on a white background and a thin white lines on a black background does not appear. The photos, however, are better than the E210, with output from qualifying as a near photo quality.

ML-1210 is slightly faster than with a Lexmark printer for 12-sheet of Word files, 9.8 ppm (6 minutes difference). The printer did a little slower, though, for most of the other tests. PowerPoint files, for example, takes seconds, from 48.7 in E210 with 48.1 seconds. But the difference is very little overall that the two printers are basically tied to performance. And, of course, both of them much faster compared to Ink Jet for the text.

A clear win for the ML-1210 is the cost per sheet, pegged at 2.8 cents based on the price of the toner and 2,500 page claimed per cartridge. Turn on toner-saver mode, and the price will be lower.
