Canon Pixma MP530 has two options for paper input: cassette and auto sheet feeder. This setting is convenient if you often move back and forth between plain paper and special paper. Each able to accommodate up to 150 sheets of plain paper. Auto sheet feeder folds out from the back of the printer while the tape slides out from the bottom. Both have adjustable paper guides to handle a variety of paper sizes. Output tray folds out of the printer body with the touch of a button, as well as the extension flap folds out to the cage again page. Unfortunately, while there is a door in the rear of the printer to clear the paper jam, the printer is not set up to handle pass-through straight, which is sometimes a problem when you are printing on rigid media who refused bent, such as card stock.
Canon Pixma MP530 has a fax function, not as a photo-centric All-in-ones, making it a true workhorse office. We hope it is also network-ready, which will make it indispensable in a multiuser environment. Unfortunately, you are able to connect to only via USB. You can get around it with the Canon Pixma MP530 connects to a router with a built-in print server or by purchasing a print server independently, but the network-ready printer is a much more elegant solution. On the other hand, it supports Windows and Mac operating systems.
One feature that we really like on this machine is a built-in duplexer, which allows for automatic double sided printing and copying. At the time of copying, you can reduce or enlarge by using preset ratios (25-400 percent), custom ratio (zoom) or automatic ratio (fit to page). You can also adjust the exposure and the quality of the image and copy it to both sides of the page. A copy of the special functions include 2-on-1 or 4-on-1 copy, copy sticker, limit copy, image repeat and collates copies.
